Here's your new thread. I'll try to dress it up in the morning. I really need to go to bed now. Feel free to yak about nonsense in the meantime.

Okay, here's the obligatory

Okay, here's the obligatory post of:

For Einsteinian revolutionaries - The Last Person To Post Here Wins Thread vague guidelines...
For the law abiding - The Last Person To Post Here Wins Thread general rules:

1. Winner of the last thread starts the new one with a post of these rules.
2. Chooses a future event which triggers the winner, e.g. post number, date-time, and records it privately somehow (yellow sticky, etc.)
3. Everyone has fun posting until the target event is reached.
4. When the target is reached, old winner posts declaration of new winner and also PMs them.
5. Shortly after this a Mod will lock the recently won thread.
6. No double posts. Violator buys a round for the house in the SETI Refuge Bar & Bistro...

In going back to the last thread to find and copy the above, I discovered that it went on for two frickin' months! I think this one will probably be a tad shorter.

And now that I've made another post here, I can edit the title a bit.

I don't know about the voting age in other countries frequently represented here.

I think we should blame TL for abandoning you all to your fate :) Wonder how long it would have been if there hadn't been a backup post number? :)

Selecting T-minus 3, 2, 1 for that COULD have been post 21... I suppose, but at that stage I think about half the posts were double or triple ones. Y-e-e-e-s... the pitchfork rebellion :) My other option was post 4321 - which, if the posting rate had been similar, would have taken over two years :)

You had a lucky escape!! :)))

One teeny little question I

One teeny little question I forgot to ask in the now-closed Euro-pols thread: do 2nd in line and his brother hunt like their ancestors? Or might the tradition die out (at least out of the family) with them?

Once that is answered, back to the general nonsensical yakking.

BTW, I have some targets in mind, but haven't settled one yet.

Yes... that was my fault. Apologies everyone. I flapped my great big cold wet feet about and they got damoclesed (deservedly so of course) :))

For sport? As far as I know they do... and also as far as I know, it was one bone (of many, obviously) of contention between their mum and dad. But I will need to do some checking up on all of the above before I will admit to saying any of it :)

edit: I am in the middle of being interrupted so before I allow that to happen...

whoa... a spot of mixed messaging there I think...

Yes, David. They do, very much so... and so will their children I'm sure.
