I,m running 3 HP DL360 servers souly for Boinc apps.
OS is Fedora 16 and each machine has dual Xeon 3.2G processors and each has 4G of Ram. I have a problem with Einstein stopping and saying "Waiting for GPU memory". I have no GPU, Any ideas ?.
The only fix so far is a reboot. This is lossing a lot of WU time for me.
Thanks,

Waiting for GPU Memory

Your only fix is to use BOINC 6.12.43 (if that's available to you), or else upgrade to BOINC 7.0, as those have the Waiting for GPU memory bug fixed. It's a scheduler bug, it has nothing to do with the GPU.

Charlie Fenton's post here

Charlie Fenton's post here refers to this problem, and David's fix:

(Waiting on GPU) Returns!...Repeatable on demand!

in GUI RPC, change RESULT.gpu_mem_wait to scheduler_wait.
It means that the app did a boinc_temporary_exit(),
and is waiting to be rescheduled.
GPU mem wait is one source of this, not the only one
