SinesterPloom, David - olde Englishe/Awestraylian for a dodgy-looking plum

Roostleemsnip - a form of cut, put into fabric so that you then have to sew it up again. Similar to other clothing dart-forms

e'lerponomisst - specialist in the study of the operation of linear interpolation between two values in computer graphics

moorpse-listen - to accidentally overhear a conversation and then, due to its content, become unable to stop eavesdropping

mooser niplets - early genetic engineering experiment in which an attempt was made to make moose, mooser (ie: even more moosey). Initially deemed successful, it was soon abandoned when it became evident that the animal would be unable to suckle its young due to diminution of its necessary bits.

motorplisenes - (pronounced: mow-tuh-pli-zeens) early name for the limousine

Amongst this group of six, one has four, three two and the other four zero. None of the six are the same. The one with two has three that are off by one.

The significant group of three from the previous group of six has not been repeated, but two of it have, once each and not together.

You are a force to be

You are a force to be reckoned with, David.

I'm impressed

:)))

iosorplemnets - a type of optically-magnifying window netting that, when hung correctly, prevents anyone seeing inside the window, whilst magnifying the curtain-twitcher's view of the street outside.

In a landmark legal case (that came to be known as the Rourke's-Dorks Wars) involving several homeowners living in Rourke's Drive, Dorking (Surrey, England) householders would spend most of their days hanging and re-hanging their nets with alternating sides outwards in order to magnify rude gestures and body parts at each other. As things escalated, fears grew that the wars might spread, so the area was flattened and turned into an IKEA store complete with car park, and the curtains were banned at point of sale

romielepstons - a band of folk singers from South London that were inspired by the film, Spinal Tap, to barn dance around small stone monuments during performances

Double 0. Also, I started a grid of absolute elimination and these 26 letters only give you a total of 6 new bits of information.

I feel like there's more clever stuff I could/should say, but I'm too tired to say it.

And then sometimes I make a mistake and notice it in time to correct it, but fall asleep before clicking OK.

It gave me the two I wanted, David, and confirmed four on my assumption matrix.

enteoslorpism - to enter or mingle unobtrusively, possibly for sly or nefarious purposes

5. I suspect you were already pretty sure of the group of 3, maybe even of the group of 4 that the group actually is.
The following would make the group 6.
At risk of being excessively helpful, there is also an inverted pair.

Well yes, I've long suspected the four but rejected the inverted two because I couldn't find anything to prefix them with adequately enough to stop getting red squiggly lines... like all these have...

selenotropism - plants that absorb selenium whilst growing

elnosetropism - nasal growths in response to stimulus

lenesotropism - a form of tropism

olesentropism - growth stimulation in plants achieved by bellowing ole at them

*stare miserably at offerings* seeeeeeee...

For the sake of those lurking

For the sake of those lurking in this thread I have created a cheat sheet to assist with deciphering the lingo :

{ BTW : if mentropolises was a real word, I'd consider this desperate guess as valiant act of mercy ..... :-) }

Cheers, Mike.

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

... and my other CPU is a Ryzen 5950X :-) Blaise Pascal

Your red squiggly line is wrong about one of these (as is mine). Your definition is even in the neighborhood of being correct.

Entertaining, Doc, but helpful is open to debate.
