Thnak you Mike. That is surprisingly helpful of you. It really is very good! :)

It's telesnoropism, David. Mike will back me up, won't you, Mike

A trophic response to the moon? Selenotropism?

Entertaining, Doc, but helpful is open to debate.

Indeed ! telesnoropism : to view ropes sleeping noisily. It's a traditional nautical word. Typically occurs when the ship is crossing the equator, but travelling backwards.

Cheers, Mike.

( edit ) Selenotropism : yeah. To go tropo when the moon comes up eg. Credence Clearwater Revival's Bad Moon Rising.

( edit ) 'nearly came loose' : yep the ropes were snoring alright.

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

Now that the aim of the contest is secure, I will activate the paper square platoons. I haven't recently been able to do anything here bar sniping. Cheers, Mike.

NAVYENLISSH - the sailor's answer to your question of what service he's in and his rank that lets you know he's drunken so you can wonder what to do with him
