Hi Kath ! :-)) I know !

Hi Kath ! :-))

I know ! Because it's a bus it'll be a late bus, so we'll have to factor that in. Does anyone know the average late-ness of a London bus ? Or did Tony 'Benito' Benn* have all the drivers shot ? :-)

Cheers, Mike.

Ooooh I say :-)

I have never voted Labour in my life, and never will do (loony left R not us) and I disagreed with his politics, but I have a grudging respect for him. Born Anthony Wedgwood Benn, he became the 2nd Viscount Stansgate upon his fathers death, which prevented him continuing as an MP. He fought to remain in the House of Commons, and then campaigned for the ability to renounce the title, a campaign which succeeded with the Peerage Act 1963.

He did his maiden speech on nationalising the steel industry, put down the first motion for the boycott of South African goods, and resigned from the shadow cabinet in 1958 because of their support for nuclear weapons. He was also very anti the EU. He died in 2014 aged 88, to tributes from across the House, and his son Stephen is now the 3rd Viscount Stansgate.
